Peak Suspension

Peak Suspension’s Story

Peak Suspension, a California-based company, were founded as a passion project when they were working on their Chevrolet Colorado and found a lack in the market. Seeking rugged coil-overs for the car they were building was a challenge, so they decided to build their own. The first upgrade they made ended up being the 2.0 coil-overs with an adjustable height and spring rate that they could control and refine.

Since then, they’ve expanded their products to cater to a wide selection of makes and models - though Chevrolet is still a major part of their core range. With a focus on the offroading community, they continue to cater to a need for tough truck upgrades, delivering exceptional quality with a customisable edge.

American-Made Off-Road Suspension Kits

The journey to their exceptional reputation hasn’t changed Peak Suspension’s roots; they do, however, offer a bigger range and a lot more than just coil-overs. Now, you can get everything from upper control arms, levelling kits and lift kits.

All of Peak Suspension’s products are still made in California to this day, catering to drivers the world over. At Offroad Industries, we stock a selection of their top products, giving you the ability to experience the excellence that is Peak Suspension on your next journey.

What makes Peak Suspension kits ideal for off-road performance?

Peak Suspension upgrades make it possible to handle any terrain, taking your driving capabilities to new heights. With purpose-built upgrades, customisable controls that allow you to refine how things are set up and resilient materials, they were designed with the most adventurous drivers in mind.

When you upgrade, you can change a lot of factors that are holding you back when you’re heading off the beaten path. You can expect to experience everything from boosted elevation and better ground clearance to better control and enhanced responsiveness by finding the best suspension upgrades

How do Peak Suspension lift kits compare to other brands like Fox and Bilstein?

While you might be especially familiar with brands like American-made Fox Suspension and the longstanding reputation of Bilstein, Peak Suspension still holds its own. While they’re newer than Bilstein and offer a more specialised range than Fox, Peak caters to a specific subset of the offroading community. When you’re looking for balanced, reliable systems that offer easy installation, all with a more accessible price point, Peak is an incredible choice, allowing you to take to the tracks the way you like with better control and performance.

Which Peak Suspension products are best suited for rock crawling and desert racing?

Rock crawling and desert racing require very different things when you’re considering your upgrades, but Peak Suspension has something for both. If you’re traversing harsh conditions over uneven terrain like you would rock-crawling, we recommend looking at some heavy-duty control arms, shocks and a lift kit for better ground clearance.

By contrast, when you’re racing through the desert, you’re more than likely on more even ground, but agility, control and manoeuvrability are a stronger focus. To whip around the competition at speed, their control arms are still an exceptional choice, though you may also want to look at simply adding a trail kit, which will give you all the added benefits you’re looking for on its own.

Can I install a Peak Suspension kit myself, or should I use Offroad Industries' installation service?

Depending on your skill level and the Peak Suspension kit you choose, you may be able to install some of their 4WD upgrades yourself. However, to ensure the best fit, optimal safety and the precise specifications you’re looking for when you get adjustable upgrades, we recommend professional installation.

Equally, it’s important to get your vehicle tested once you’ve had certain upgrades done so you know it’s road-safe, compliant and good to go. We have a list of authorised installers, with locations Australia-wide, who can take care of everything for you.

How does Peak Suspension improve ride quality on daily-driven trucks?

While we know the real thrills come from heading off the beaten track, most of your driving is going to be on the road. Peak Suspension’s upgrades are engineered to be as reliable on the streets as they are on the trail. Upgrades like shocks and coil-overs help to keep things comfortable in the cab, no matter whether you’re on asphalt or gravel, while also adding traction for hitting corners. If your truck doubles as your daily driver, Peak provides the perfect balance between off-road capability and everyday driving, no matter what truck you own.

Does Offroad Industries offer bundle deals on Peak Suspension and other upgrades?

If you’re considering Peak Suspension, chances are good you might be after their signature range designed for Chevrolet in particular. We have specific upgrade collections and the benefits you’ll get from each for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 for you to consider, with package deals for all the gear and installation costs.

What are the common mistakes to avoid when installing a Peak Suspension lift kit?

One of the key things to consider whenever you’re completing upgrades, whether that’s with Peak Suspension or another manufacturer of your choice, is alignment. No matter if you’re adding coil-overs, a lift kit, full suspension upgrades or control arms, you need to know that you’re still road-safe and properly aligned.

You should also make sure you’re checking your brake line clearance and remember to re-torque your wheels after you’ve driven over especially rough terrain or if it’s been 80 - 100 kilometres since your last check.

What suspension innovations are emerging in the off-roading industry?

Off-roading is constantly evolving, with drivers wanting more - to go further and push harder over ever more challenging terrain. To match that demand, brands like Peak Suspension are perpetually innovating. From utilising more durable materials that are still lightweight to giving you better handling and power or even adding extra hauling capabilities to your truck for the resilience you need to carry all your gear wherever the journey takes you.
