Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD GVM Upgrades
What is the GVM upgrade for the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, and how does it improve my vehicle’s performance?
We offer five stages when it comes to GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) upgrades for the Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. Each one is slightly different, offering a different degree of elevation from new suspension, suitable for the different demands that you have of your truck. No matter which you choose, when you opt for an Offroad GVM upgrade kit, you’ll be able to haul heavier loads than your default factory capabilities.
Not only does it make your truck more useful and powerful, but all of our upgrades are fully compliant with Australian road laws and restrictions. You can expect increased towing stability, better handling even when your truck is heavily loaded, and improved safety during long-haul trips or off-road excursions.
How does the Offroad Industries GVM upgrade compare to standard upgrades in terms of performance and durability?
Unlike generic suspension kits, Offroad Industries’ GVM upgrades are chosen by our team from the top brands in the offroading industry. For an American truck like a Chevy, American-made upgrades are best - which is why you’ll find parts and accessories from the likes of BDS Suspension and Fox Suspension included. We also have our own range of leaf packs for greater stability and support, with every kit we assemble coming with the highest standards in power, utility and safety. We combine the right kind of accessories and parts to give you the best driving experience with a truly custom upgrade.
What are the differences between the stages of the GVM upgrade for the Silverado 2500HD?
Each of the five stages we offer combines slightly different parts for unique specification upgrades to give you the option to find the perfect choice for your needs. Stage five is the maximum lift you can get, with up to 6.5 inches of extra lift from the new suspension. When you’re looking for more hauling capabilities for carrying gear offroad or for work, stage one or two may be enough. If you’re pushing your truck to its limits and want to get the most out of it, one of the higher grade stages is likely better. They enable you to handle increasing levels of weight and off-road stress, with hard-wearing, reinforced components and upgraded shock absorbers.
How does the GVM upgrade from Offroad Industries help with heavy towing and carrying larger loads in the Chevrolet Silverado?
With a combination of greater suspension, leaf packets and shackles, and control arms, you’ll have a stronger frame to work with. It reduces the chances of sagging, maintains your braking and turning ability even with more weight on the back, and keeps the traction working smoothly - whether you’re on the road or off the beaten path.
How does Offroad Industries ensure the quality and safety of their GVM upgrade kits for the Chevrolet Silverado?
All of our parts, accessories and complete stage kits are tested for road compliance and safety, meaning you can upgrade with confidence. We’re proud distributors of some of the most rugged brands on the market, meaning you get a result that’s built to be used - without wearing out. On top of the quality of the parts, our authorised installers get the job done right, ensuring you have the licensing you need to get back on the road - or venture further afield.
What are the benefits of upgrading to a BDS suspension system and Fox shocks for the Silverado 2500HD?
Both BDS and Fox Suspension were created specifically with offroading in mind, which is why we include them in our Offroad Industries GVM upgrades. With a combination of Fox suspension or lift kits, and BDS control arms, you’ll get a whole lot of benefits that truly enhance your driving experience. From enhanced damping performance, and smoother ride quality to better heat resistance during sustained off-road use, you’ll be able to push harder and go further with every journey.
How does Offroad Industries’ GVM upgrade cater to the latest trends in 4x4 vehicle modifications?
The current trends in GVM upgrade for Chevrolet Silverado are of course inclusive of safety and compliance, while also prioritising heavy-duty capabilities and ride comfort. Offroad Industries' GVM upgrades deliver on all fronts - making the hardest part choosing which stage you want for your Chevy. If you’re debating which one is best for you, contact our team and we can offer you a personal recommendation.
What’s the process for installing the GVM upgrade on a 2020 - 2024 Chevrolet Silverado, and how long does it take?
First, you’ll want to book in with one of our authorised installers. They’ll inspect your truck then fit in all the upgrades you’ve ordered. Depending on which ORI GVM upgrade you opted for, installation will generally take two to three days, depending on the location you get everything installed at. The installer themselves will be able to give you a more definitive guideline once they’re checked your truck over. For full compliance and safety, installation will include full engineering documentation for legal road clearance.
