The Recoil Difference: No Suspension Binding
Traditional rigid traction bars do a great job of stopping axle wrap, but they have a fatal flaw: they fight your suspension’s natural arc. This binds up your rear end, limiting wheel travel and making for a harsh, stiff ride on the street or trail.
BDS solved this by engineering the Recoil Traction Bars with a spring-loaded, full-floating design. Instead of a rigid mount, the frame end of the bar free-floats and utilizes an internal dual-stage compression spring (featuring a massive 3,000 lb/in main spring).
This allows the traction bar to limit axle wrap when you're under heavy acceleration, while still allowing the full range of wheel travel and articulation without binding.

Using the supplied spanner wrenches, simply loosen the jam nut at the axle end and rotate the main bar to load or unload the internal springs. Dial them in tight for aggressive towing and track days, or back them off for maximum off-road articulation and a plush highway ride.
