Choosing the right GVM stage comes down to what you carry, what you tow, and how much lift you want. All three 5th Gen stages hold the full 4500kg braked towing capacity and a 12,474kg GCM, and all three run up to 35x12.5 R18 or 35x12.5 R20 tyres.

Stage 1 takes GVM to 5300kg for a payload of 1680kg, a 90% increase on the factory 886kg, on a 2 inch lift with Fox 2.5 HTO Performance Series shocks and ORI load rated coils. Stage 2 keeps the same 2 inch stance and steps up to Fox 2.5 Performance Elite Series reservoir shocks, taking GVM to 5550kg for a payload of 1661kg. Stage 3 runs that same 5550kg GVM on a BDS 3 inch lift kit with radius arms to keep the front geometry correct, for a payload of 1655kg.
