Installation Instructions For Bushwacker Fender Flares
If you’ve got your wits about you, installing the right set of Bushwacker fender flares can be completed in under an hour. Bushwacker fender flares bolt on pretty easily using holes that are factory-built into your truck. Here’s how the process goes down:
Find the factory bolts inside the fender well. Remove them. Make sure you hold onto those bolts in case you need them again.
Use an alcohol based solvent to clean the area where you’re installing the Bushwacker fender flares.
Hold your Bushwacker fender flares up your vehicle to make sure that they’re going to fit properly.
There’s an adhesive backing on the rubber seal of your Bushwacker fender flares. Peel that off and push the sticky side of trim along the flare’s edge. Keep peeling the backing off as you work your way around.
Keep that flare held firmly in place on the fender. Apply a decent amount of pressure. You want to get the seal nice and tight.
Using the screws or clips that came with the Bushwacker fender flares (or the factory bolts you put aside earlier), fasten the new flare into the pre-existing factory holes.
Tighten all the screws and bolts up once you’re done.

How Much Does A TITAN Fuel Tank Weigh?
A TITAN fuel tank for a short-bed truck weighs about 20 kilograms. The long-bed tanks only way a few kilos more than that, somewhere around 22kg. An in-bed tank from TITAN weighs about 23kg. TITAN fuel tanks are incredibly lightweight, and when you take into account the extra weight of the fuel you can now carry, it all just about evens out to the same weight as a metal tank.

How To Use Factor 55 Soft Shackles
You don't like to think about it, but it may well happen. Your truck might break down, or it could get stuck in some boggy, rocky terrain. If you're in a situation where you need to recover your vehicle, chances are you'll be using a soft shackle. Rated steel used to be the go-to solution for winching and towing, but that's not the case anymore. If you're using a soft shackle, you should be using one from Factor 55. Read on to find out why.
The History of Soft Shackles
Way back in the day, when trade relied on sailing ships, soft shackles were standard. Sailors were strapping up bits of boats with soft shackles made from rope. Then came the industrial revolution, and manufacturers began making everything from steel. Not only the boats but the ropes too!
Nowadays sailing is more accessible to the common man. With that boom has come a rise in the research around high-tech rope materials. High-modulus (or high-molecular-weight) polyethylene is the future of ropes and knots. Shackles made from this material are lightweight, waterproof, and stronger than steel. They float, and they don't damage things like steel does either. Not your head, your hands, your boat, or - most important - your off-road vehicle.
What Is A Factor 55 Soft Shackle?
Factor 55 makes soft shackles for four-wheelers from high-modulus polyethylene (HMPE) Plasma Rope. This 12-strand rope is the strongest available on the commercial market.
You can make a soft shackle from two simple parts - a 'strop' and a spliced end. The strop has a knot at one end, which works as a stopper. Usually, this is a diamond knot. When you find your vehicle in a sticky situation, you secure the soft shackle to a rated recovery point. Then you can pull your truck to safety.
Why Use A Factor 55 Soft Shackle?
Soft shackles are way safer than steel shackles. If something goes wrong with a steel shackle, it's a recipe for disaster. Let's say you've connected your steel shackle to a snatch strap. If that snatch strap is under tension and the pin in that shackle goes bust? You've got a chunk of steel flying through the air, who knows where. It could damage property, injure, or even kill anyone it strikes.
Soft shackles don't have this kind of force. Getting hit by one definitely won't feel nice, granted. It'll be a hell of a lot better than getting hit by steel though.
How To Use Factor 55 Soft Shackles
If you find yourself in a recovery situation, soft shackles are easy to use.
First, check that your shackle is in good condition.
Pop the eye of the shackle through the rated recovery point on your vehicle. This is important - always use a rated recovery point. Do not loop a soft shackle around your tow ball!
Connect the eye end of your shackle to your snatch strap or recovery rope loop. Pass it through the loop to do so.
Take the knot of the soft shackle, and pass that through the soft shackle loop.
There you go, you've established a secure connection. Now you can continue with a standard snatch recovery. Remember, take it slow. Build up pressure until the strap goes tense. Keep the towing vehicle in low range at low speed, and get the stuck vehicle accelerating. You're trying to leverage the strap's kinetic energy, not yank the stuck car free.
How To Care For Factor 55 Soft Shackles
HMPE Plasma Rope can lose strength over time, especially if they're left out in the sun. Keep them clean, dry, and out of direct light. Make sure your soft shackle is dry as a bone before you put it away.
Don't let your soft shackles near high heat, and try not to use them if they're wet. Heat can reduce soft shackles' performance, and breaking strength goes down when moist.
Should I Make My Own Soft Shackles?
We're gonna say...nah. It's a bit trendy at the moment, especially with sailing types. Chances are you're using soft shackles in 4WD recovery situations, though. They can be pretty strenuous, and even dangerous. You're better off leaving it to the experts. Why make a tough situation tougher?
Factor 55 shackles have had the knots tensioned with a winch. They meet design and safety standards. They'll always do the job better than a soft shackle made with some rope, a knot, and a pair of pliers.

Installing a TITAN Fuel Tank involves taking out your truck's original tank. Then you've got to move the sending unit inside that, and the outer water separator. Connect the fuel lines to your new TITAN, install a forward tank mount, and bolt in the new tank. You don't need any modifications besides those. The whole process should take about 4 hours.
Here's a hot tip: make sure you empty out the original tank. Diesel has around the same kilogram weight as its volume. It'll make your job a lot easier if you don't have to lift that along with the tank. Either siphon it out or find something to do to run the tank empty.

What’s The Difference Between Rough Country Lift Kits and Levelling Kits?
Every truck is different, they come in all shapes and sizes. If you've got one, you can always change it up a little to make it more unique. Lift kits and levelling kits are one great way to do that. But what's the difference?
Here's the short version:
Lift kits will raise both ends of your truck, increasing the height altogether. They do that by swapping out the strut for a new one or adding some spacers.
Levelling kits only add height to the front end of your truck. This puts it on the same plane as the rear, which comes pre-raised from the factory.

Lift Kits
A lift kit is a set of parts you can buy which will raise your car further from the ground. Companies can design a lift kit to suit most vehicles. They definitely come into their own when they're fitted on trucks and SUVs.
Lifting your truck gives you a huge boost when you're offroading. The extra height provides a massive increase in clearance. This means you can tackle tougher terrain, rougher ruts, and bigger boulders than ever. More lift also means you can add larger wheels. We could tell you that will improve your offroading (which it will) but for the most part? It makes your truck look better.
Lift kits come in two main types - body and suspension kits.
Body lift kits are easier than suspension lift kits. These involve removing the truck body from its frame and adding spacers. You reattach the body and the spacers keep some distance between it and the frame. This is where you get your lift. Body lift kits are cost-efficient, won't change the way you drive, and let you increase your tire/wheel size. The gap between the frame and body can be a problem though. It can look dodgy, and buying guards for it can be pricey. It's also important to realise that a body lift kit can only gain you about seven centimetres of height, max.
Suspension lift kits are trickier than body lift kits, but there are a bunch of benefits. They add height from the axle and wheels of the car. How you do this will change from truck to truck, and brand to brand. Suspension lift kits are always going to be more expensive, but it's worth it. You can raise your truck as high as you like, and your handling won't suffer for it. In fact, the extra suspension can actually improve performance. You do have to be aware that they can wear down over time, and you will be at a bit more risk of rolling your truck. You can get a stabiliser to rectify this, but that's an extra cost to keep in mind.

Levelling Kits
Levelling kits can be more or less complicated than lift kits, depending on how you look at it. Here's the background: when you buy your truck, it's uneven. On purpose. The manufacturer raises the back higher than the front. This is so that when you tow something, the back ends up level with the front. We call the truck's height difference the 'rake'.
That might sound complicated. This is where it gets simple: a levelling kit eliminates the rake. It makes the front the same height as the back.
Why bother? Well, levelling your truck will mean a bit more clearance. It'll help you when you're offroading for the same reasons mentioned about lift kits. It'll mean you can get bigger wheels and tires.
Strut extension levelling kits tend to be the easiest to install. These are for trucks whose front suspension has a coilover strut. You slide spacers on either end of the struts in your vehicle and Bob's your uncle. Most strut extension levelling kits are adjustable, too. That way you can get the precise height you're after.

Upgrading your vehicle's headlights can be more work than you think if you don't have all the information. Halogen vs LED

Reflector and projector housing designs are the two housing styles found in headlights. These are easy to spot because projectors rarely have a high beam capacity. Identifying your globe type
It's sometimes as simple as consulting the owner's manual to determine which globes your vehicle needs. It should (if you're lucky) include all of the globe types present throughout the vehicle, as well as the specification relating to halogen, wattage, and more. We've come across a few manuals that only indicate the wattage of the globe and not the type of fitting. This is true for halogen bulbs; however, it is not true for LED bulbs. Other options include looking for marks on the globe, connector plug, or the headlight unit itself.
Bulb holders / special adaptors
To position the globe in most European cars, many will use an adaptor/holder. This makes halogen installation and removal easier, but the LED-fitted heatsinks make fitting a little more complex or incompatible. This is where the special adaptors come in. The unique adaptors are most typically found in H7 and H1 globes, with most applications suited for low beam and only a few for high beam. These customised adaptors will fit underneath the H7/H1 collar, allowing you to avoid wearing the H7/H1 collar, which is only used for alignment.
Installation
The installation of a retrofitted LED headlight conversion kit on some vehicles can be more complex than on others. The installation in these circumstances might be reasonably hard, with peculiar access to the back of the headlight and limited space within the engine. Factor 55 Soft Shackles - Top Alternative to Heavy Steel Shackles
What is a soft shackle?
Most 4x4 shackles are made of synthetic rope materials and you’ll find Dyneema or Plasma are the most used.
Plasma Synthetic Rope made from High Modulus Polyethylene (HMPE) has undergone a proprietary recrystallisation process to improve its strength. This method pulls the carefully twisted strand through a heated fluid-filled pressurised tube, maintaining a consistent heat profile over the strand's cross-section. This procedure ensures that all filaments enhance the strand's fibre strength efficiency effectively. Finally, the rope is given a polyurethane finish to improve snag resistance and UV resistance.
A soft shackle is the simplest type of shackle to make, consisting of a 'strop' with a stopper (generally a diamond knot) on one end and a spliced end. Soft shackles can be a lighter alternative to traditional steel screw pin shackles for joining rigs. Why should I care about soft shackles?
They're safer than steel shackles and routinely used to attach recovery equipment like snatch straps. When a pin or other element of a steel shackle fails during a vehicle recovery, the under-tension grab strap with a chunk of steel attached will fly through the air. This can harm or possibly kill anyone who comes into contact with it.
A soft shackle failure will not have the same projectile power as a hard shackle failure. Sure, being hit in the head by a soft shackle will hurt, but it will hurt a lot less than being hit in the head by a chunk of steel flying through the air at hundreds of kilometres per hour.
How to use and care for them
Soft shackles that are not well looked after or left out in the sun for long periods can swiftly deteriorate, compared to those appropriately cared for.
